**Continuous Improvement & EHS Manager**
**Location:** Gaithersburg - Maryland, US, 20878 Continuous Improvement & EHS Manager Heraeus Noblelight Location Gaithersburg - Maryland Permanent Full Time **Your Role and Responsibilites:**
* Plan and execution of site improvement projects (Lean & Six-Sigma) to fulfill the strategic objectives of the business while leading environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives. * Lead the continuous improvement through the planning and implementation of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies while leading EHS management and improvement. * Partner with site & group leadership to lead the transformation to a culture of operational excellence, environmental, health, & safety, and continuous improvement. * Deliver practical, hands-on training to associates on Lean manufacturing, EHS, and tools to eliminate waste in all administrative, manufacturing and support functions. * Lead environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives. EHS includes air, water, waste, energy, safety programs and must have a comprehensive understanding of the Risk Assessment process. * Lead small team of direct reports. * Lead plant safety program, maintain safety records, and OSHA compliance programs. * Manage activities designed to reduce the risk of accidents and decrease these safety-related costs.
**What is required for this role:**
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, process management, safety related or operations. * Five years' experience in process optimization, operations, and monitoring safety practices/procedures. * Six Sigma methodology, tools and practices. * Great attention to detail. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills. * Advanced understanding of Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite * Knowledge of environmental health & safety regulations is preferred.
