Maintenance Manager

We are seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Manager to join a manufacturing facility specializing in medical devices and surgical tools. The successful candidate will lead maintenance operations, oversee CNC machinery repairs, and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

This role requires strong leadership, hands-on CNC troubleshooting experience, and excellent organizational skills to manage maintenance staff, facilities, budgets, and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, train, and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to support production.
• Oversee daily maintenance activities, including CNC machine repairs, equipment installations, and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC Swiss screw machines, including Tornos / Deco equipment.
• Develop and manage maintenance schedules, staff routines, and programs to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts expenditure, and staffing costs, identifying opportunities for savings.
• Negotiate and manage service contracts for specialist maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee facility maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and general building repairs.
• Support long-term facility planning, capital expenditure proposals, and energy efficiency projects.
• Lead companywide safety initiatives and ensure maintenance activities comply with ISO 13485 requirements, OSHA standards, and relevant health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and expenditure.
• Coordinate with production teams and management to prioritize maintenance requirements and complete projects on time.

Qualifications & Experience required:

• At least five years of experience as a Maintenance Manager or in another managerial role working with Swiss screw machines.
• Hands-on CNC machine repair experience is essential, preferably with Tornos / Deco 2000 machinery.
• Experience with equipment such as Tornos / Deco 10 & 13 and Swiss Nano machines.
• Proven experience planning maintenance operations and managing preventative maintenance programs.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and facility equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, allocate resources, and meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a vocational qualification or degree in Business Administration or Facility Management would be advantageous.
• Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) qualification would be a plus.
