**Shop Technician – Heavy Equipment

We are seeking a motivated Shop Technician, in the West Columbia area, to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience working with diesel-powered and heavy equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused service environment. Successful candidates are self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and eager to grow their technical skills.

**Responsibilities

**

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel and heavy equipment

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections

• Repair hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, drivetrain, and mechanical systems

• Utilize diagnostic tools, schematics, and service manuals

• Complete repair documentation and service reports

• Maintain a safe and professional work environment

**Qualifications

**

• High school diploma or GED required

• 3+ years of heavy equipment or diesel repair experience required

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics

• Experience using diagnostic software preferred

• Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed
