Production Supervisor - DIRECT HIRE

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead a team in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support production employees on assigned shift.
  • Assign daily work and monitor production to ensure schedules and deadlines are achieved.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
  • Train and develop team members while providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and attendance while addressing performance concerns as needed.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on employee relations, hiring, and disciplinary matters.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and other departments to minimize downtime and resolve operational issues.
  • Monitor inventory, materials, and equipment availability to support production needs.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and performance metrics.
  • Participate in production meetings and communicate department goals and updates effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing, Business Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and workflow management.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding of workplace safety practices and quality systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet production deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using ERP or MRP systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
