Position Overview

As a Manual Machinist, you’ll be responsible for setting up and operating manual machining equipment to produce high-quality parts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on machining but also has exposure to CNC programming or is eager to expand those skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and other shop equipment
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure high-quality finished products
• Assist with basic CNC machine setup and programming (as needed)
• Make adjustments and troubleshoot machining issues
• Follow all safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manual machining
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience with precision measuring instruments
• Some CNC programming experience or exposure preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
