Position Overview

As a Manual Machinist, you’ll be responsible for setting up and operating manual machining equipment to produce high-quality parts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on machining but also has exposure to CNC programming or is eager to expand those skills.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and other shop equipment
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining
Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Maintain tight tolerances and ensure high-quality finished products
Assist with basic CNC machine setup and programming (as needed)
Make adjustments and troubleshoot machining issues
Follow all safety and quality standards

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in manual machining
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience with precision measuring instruments
Some CNC programming experience or exposure preferred
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
