We are seeking a skilled and motivated Light Industrial MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team in Columbia, SC, 29209. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded products while ensuring safety and efficiency in our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on various metal components according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Fabricate metal parts and assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving welding-related issues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a MIG welder, preferably in a light industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform welding tasks and lift materials as needed.
  • Welding certification is preferred but not required.
