POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this is to inspect manufactured products to ensure compliance and conformance to Quality standards.
Monday-Friday occasional weekends as needed 9 a.m. -5 p.m.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety
·
Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
·
Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
·
Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
·
Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
- #### Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately
Task
·
Schedule breaks and lunches
- #### Is backup for the SQF Practitioner
·
Mentor and train new employees
- #### In absence of the Quality Technician-Lead, the roles and responsibilities of this position will be fulfilled as designated, documented, and approved by the Plant Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
1.Must be able to communicate well with others
2.Intermediate Computer Skills
3.Must be able to read, write and speak English
4.Knowledge of Food Safety
5.HACCP Certification required
6.Minimum One (1)
year experience with SQF (certification preferred)
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND/OR LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
Successful completion of HACCP and SQF Practitioner course is desirable
