Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of diesel mechanics in daily operations.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and related systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Train and mentor junior mechanics to enhance their skills.
• Collaborate with management to improve shop efficiency and workflow.
• Order and manage inventory for necessary parts and supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel mechanics, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• ASE certification in diesel technology is a plus.
