Job Overview:

HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR

Location: Colton, CA

Pay: $23–26/hour (some flexibility based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Preferred Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, with a focus on recruiting coordination, onboarding, payroll support, and maintaining accurate employee records. This role works closely with HR leadership to support HR programs, compliance, employee engagement, and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain confidential employee records and personnel files in compliance with company policies and employment laws

  • Support HR leadership with daily administrative and operational tasks

  • Lead and coordinate the full onboarding process, including:- New hire orientation

    • Employment paperwork
    • I-9/E-Verify
    • HRIS setup
    • First-day readiness
  • Assist with recruiting efforts including:- Job postings

    • Applicant tracking
    • Interview scheduling
    • Candidate communication
    • Offer letters
    • Pre-employment screenings
  • Maintain employee information within Paylocity HRIS

  • Assist with payroll processing, timecard review, and payroll inquiries

  • Support leave tracking, accommodations, and return-to-work documentation

  • Coordinate and track required employee trainings and certifications

  • Assist with safety documentation, audits, and compliance tracking

  • Generate HR reports and maintain HR filing systems

  • Order and maintain HR and office supplies

  • Serve as a first point of contact for basic HR-related questions

  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and data integrity at all times

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of HR, administrative, recruiting, or operations experience
  • Experience using HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices is a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot operational and administrative issues effectively

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing systems.
