Position Open: Summer HR Co-op
Summary
The Summer HR Co-op supports day-to-day Human Resources operations at STOBER Drives, Inc. This position provides hands-on experience in HR administration, recruitment support, content creation, and general HR processes within a manufacturing environment. The co-op will assist with employee file maintenance, application screening, onboarding preparation, interview support, and general HR tasks while upholding confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration & Filing
- Assist with organizing, filing, and maintaining employee personnel records (paper and electronic).
- Support compliance with record retention and confidentiality requirements.
- Scan, upload, and index documents into HR systems as needed.
- Help maintain training, onboarding, and compliance documentation.
Recruitment & Application Support
- Assist with reviewing and screening employment applications for completeness and minimum qualifications.
- Help track applicants through the hiring process using the applicant tracking system.
- Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates as directed.
- Support job posting updates and recruitment documentation.
Interviewing & Employer Branding Suppor
t
- Assist with creating short “Day in the Life” or role overview videos to support recruiting and onboarding efforts.
- Support structured employee interviews for content creation, gaining hands-on interviewing experience.
- Record and organize video content for internal and external use as directed.
- Upload and label approved content within the HRIS or internal communication platforms.
General HR Support
- Assist HR staff with onboarding preparation (new hire packets, orientation materials, badge requests, etc.).
- Provide general administrative support for HR initiatives, events, and projects.
- Support data entry tasks related to HRIS, training records, and reports.
- Respond professionally to basic employee inquiries and route questions appropriately.
- Perform other HR-related tasks as assigned to support department operations.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or related degree program.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Comfortable communicating with employees in a professional interview-style setting.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); basic video or media skills are a plus.
- Willingness to learn HR processes and systems in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands
