Italian-owned company experiencing rapid growth in North America, specializing in warehouse automation and robotics (formerly focused on diaper machines, with a significant history with Procter & Gamble)
Key Requirements:
Must-have skills/experience:- Ability to log into PLCs, map IP addresses, and perform calibration on instruments
- Troubleshoot logic issues in PLCs and perform checkouts (including forcing points and overriding safety functions as needed for commissioning)
- Strong process control experience (valves, pumps, compressors, etc.)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on tasks (e.g., minor mechanical repairs)
- Customer-facing skills: presentable, able to communicate effectively with clients
- Self-starter with strong troubleshooting approach and ability to work independently
- Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively (up to 70%)
Preferred attributes:- Experience as an IC&E (Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical) technician, especially from power generation or similar industries
- Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred but not required; ability to learn new systems is key)
- Experience with Fanuc robots is a plus but not required
- Aptitude and drive are highly valued; less experienced candidates considered if they show strong potential
- Comfortable with both electrical/control and some mechanical work
Location:
- Role is based in Cincinnati, OH
- Candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance to the facility (not remote or hybrid)
- Travel is required (up to 70%), both domestically (US-wide) and occasionally internationally (Canada, Italy for training)
Compensation:
- Benefits: Medical, dental, vision (high end of comparable), 401(k) match (3-4%), company card for travel expenses, all travel/lodging/meals covered ($65/day meal allowance)
