Responsibilities

• Assist ophthalmologists during patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform preliminary tests, including visual acuity, tonometry, and refraction.
• Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate records.
• Educate patients on eye care and post-operative instructions.
• Maintain and sterilize ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred.
• Previous experience in an ophthalmic or medical setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records.
