Job Description

Our Client in Mentor has an immediate need for a 3rd Shift CNC Setup/Operator

• Pay is $20-$23 Per Hour DOE

• 3rd Shift 10PM to 6:30AM

• This position is in Mentor

• Most Benefits Available Immediately (See Below) 

Responsibilities

• Perform standard machine shop operations, including accurate and efficient CNC machine setup.
• Operate CNC milling machines to produce parts according to specifications and production schedules.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Machining Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area while following all safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform various machining tasks, including grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, deburring, sawing, and sanding.
• Inspect machined parts using precision measuring tools and document inspection results.
• Complete and maintain required production paperwork and documentation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, routers, and work instructions to ensure accurate part production.
• Use basic math skills and measuring tools such as calipers to verify part dimensions.
• Communicate effectively and follow basic oral and written instructions in English.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Machining Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Technical School Certification, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience setting up CNC milling machines.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC milling machines.
• At least 2 years of experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Experience on 3rd Shift a Must.
