CNC Boring Mill Set Up Machinist - Warren, Michigan
Standard Day Shift -6:00am
Pay Rate: up to $23.50 per hour

Our Client is looking for 2-CNC Boring mill setup workers that can get the frames up on the machine. Long term position with training to become CNC Boring mill Operator. 2 years of experience required.

CNC Boring Mill Set Up Machinist Description:
Position requires knowledge of standard machine tool practices to make corrections and general fitting of machined details. Machines parts from detail prints to close tolerance. Read and interprets blueprints of mechanical engineering drawings and customer specifications to generate accurate machining weldments, fabrications, and details. Executes set ups on all tool room equipment including maintenance of the equipment and cutting tools.

Must be proficient in the use of miscellaneous cutting tools and materials including but not limited to carbide, tool steels, ceramics, and nitrate coatings.
Must be proficient in the use of standard tool room machinery, including BRIDGEPORTS, SURFACE GRINDERS, LATHE, etc.
Maintains basic understanding of metallurgical compositions in ferrous, non-ferrous, and plastic materials in relation to machining, and heat treating processes and procedures
Uses and prepares precision measuring equipment including micrometers, dial indicators, gage blocks, sine plate, etc.
Generates reports, tooling and machinery maintenance records and schedules
Understands and follows safety and environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns
Adheres to Quality System and participates in continuous improvement
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job

Required Education and experience of the CNC Boring Mill Set Up Operator:

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
Minimum two-years of experience required
