Position Summary:

The Lead Yard/PVC Operator is a dual-role position responsible for overseeing daily yard operations and operating CNC routers to fabricate PVC fencing components. This role requires strong leadership, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will supervise yard associates, coordinate material handling and deliveries, and operate CNC machinery to support production goals. 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Yard Operations & Leadership

  • Supervise and lead yard associates in daily operations.
  • Prepare and stage loads for delivery, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment to move freight, stock, and materials.
  • Load/unload trucks, sort and organize materials, and maintain proper tagging.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard and warehouse.
  • Enforce safety procedures and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist with fabrication and order pulling as needed.
  • Work overtime as required to meet operational demands.

 

PVC Router Operation

  • Operate CNC routers to cut and shape PVC fencing components per specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain router equipment and tooling.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse or yard operations.
  • 1–3 years of experience operating CNC routers or similar machinery.
  • Forklift certification and experience required.
  • Familiarity with PVC materials and plastic fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
