Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening at its Elkton, MD branch location.  We are looking for a Yard Laborer / Helper to assist the service and rental departments.

  Responsibilities:  

• Perform yard utility functions and a wide variety of other duties assigned, in a safe manner in accordance with all Company policies, DOT, OSHA and other governmental standards and regulations.
• Unload material as needed in a safe and timely manner
• Assist techs as needed and support them on certain jobs
• Experience in moving a variety of trailers in tight spaces.
• Ensure all containers and trailers are safely and securely parked at the end of each day.
• Help with seasonal branch maintenance including but not limited to; snow removal and cutting lawn.
• Empty all trash cans inside and outside the facility
• Wash all types of trailers as needed, using power washer and brushes.
• Work in all types of environments inside and outside. 

 Requirements:

• Experience with operating a forklift is a plus but not required.
• A current driver’s license moving violations for past 3 years is a plus.
• Must present a professional, highly motivated, positive, result-oriented, problem-solving attitude.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Must adhere to all Company policies including safety policies.
• Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.
