Job Description

We're looking for a skilled, hands-on technician who can independently diagnose, service, troubleshoot, and repair Yamaha outboard engines. The ideal candidate has experience working on center-console boats, sportfishing vessels, and recreational marine equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and service Yamaha outboard engines.

• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and major engine repairs.

• Troubleshoot fuel, cooling, ignition, electrical, and electronic systems.

• Utilize Yamaha diagnostic software and manufacturer service procedures.

• Perform engine rigging, repowering, and installation work.

• Diagnose and repair steering, controls, and associated vessel systems.

• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate repair findings.

• Deliver high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional outboard marine engine service experience preferred.

• Strong experience working with Yamaha four-stroke outboard engines.

• Yamaha factory training or certifications strongly preferred.

• Yamaha Master Technician certification highly desirable.

• Experience with Yamaha diagnostic tools and electronic controls.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.

• Experience with multi-engine center-console and sportfishing vessels preferred.

• Valid driver's license.
