Job Title

Position Overview

This position is Sunday- Thursday 11pm-7am.

Position Objective: To wrap finished rolls when assigned to ensure continuous flow of material.

Essential Duties: (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility)

· Wrap finished goods based on specifications on the Production Specification Sheet (reference TTR)

· Apply barcode and information tickets to the outside of the poly wrap on the end of the roll

Non-Essential Duties: (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility)

· Position cores on the roll-up rollers

· General housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment

· Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or plant management

· Inspect rolls for any wet, wrinkled, or burned spots – refer to the quality inspection board for more defect types

Education and Experience Requirements:

· Experience in carpet manufacturing preferred

Training Requirements:

· On the job training during normal work hours, with qualified COJT (Certified on the Job Trainer) selected by the supervisor

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to stand or walk for the majority of shift

· Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry loads of up to 65 pounds without assistance

· Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently

· Must be able to work in industrial environment with elevated noise levels, dust, dirt, humidity and temperature variations

· Must participate in pre-shift stretching exercises

Other Requirements:

· Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and associates

· Must be able to work well under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines

· Must be able to comply with all plant policies

· Must be able to recognize various types of defects

· Must be able to perform tasks quickly and safely
