Job Summary

looking for wrapper to join our Operations Team in Southington, CT. A material wrapper constructs standard and non-standard boxes, crates, skids and pallets to ship finished products to our customers.

Responsibilities

· SAFETY FIRST!

· Inspect material for physical damage or defects prior to packaging.

· Select appropriate packaging materials to protect material from being damaged in transit.

· Construct skids, boxes, crates, and pallets.

· Measure materials using tape measure and other measuring devices.

· Operate banding and nail guns.

· Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.

· Scan and stage orders in appropriate shipping and loading zones.

· Monitor linear footage on wood used to package export orders.

· Perform additional warehouse duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

*This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position: requires operating heavy machinery.*

· High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

· Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions.

· History of working safely and productively.

· Forklift operation experience strongly preferred.

· Basic math skills required to convert decimals and fractions and to accurately use and read tape measures and calipers.

· Dependable, punctual, and works well with others.

· Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, meet physical requirements of the position.

· Willingness to work required overtime.
