This is a hands-on precision manufacturing role responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Wire EDM equipment used to produce highly accurate components for demanding applications. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment where precision, consistency, and quality are critical.
The ideal person takes ownership of their work, understands the importance of tight tolerances, and is comfortable independently setting up machines, inspecting finished parts, and troubleshooting issues. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technologies supporting aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial applications.
• Set up and operate Wire EDM machines according to engineering drawings, specifications, and job requirements
• Monitor machining operations to ensure quality, consistency, and process control
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, tolerances, and GD&T requirements
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measurement equipment
• Troubleshoot machine, setup, and process-related issues to maintain production flow
• Perform routine machine maintenance and identify potential issues before they impact quality or output
• Maintain accurate production documentation and inspection records
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
• Support continuous improvement, organization, and 5S initiatives throughout the shop

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T callouts
• Experience inspecting your own work using precision measurement tools
• Comfortable holding tight tolerances and following detailed manufacturing processes
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and process issues independently
• Experience working safely around industrial fluids including coolants, oils, and dielectric fluids
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a hands-on manufacturing environment
• Must meet U.S. person requirements due to export-controlled work
• Strong understanding of precision machining practices and quality expectations
• Experience using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges
• Ability to identify potential quality concerns before parts move downstream
• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams
• High level of ownership and accountability for your work
• Consistent approach to setup, inspection, documentation, and machine operation
• Experience working in aerospace, defense, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality systems
• Experience with additional machining processes or manufacturing equipment
• Technical training, apprenticeship, or certification in machining/manufacturing
