Express Employment Professionals- Skilled Trade Division has partnered with a specialized glass company located in the Dexter, MI area. We are seeking a candidate for the Window & Door Installation team. If you have an interest in glass, construction, maintenance, or carpentry, this full-time, permanent, and year-round opportunity offers career growth and experience!

**Shift: **Day shift: 8am-4:30pm Monday - Friday (plus overtime as needed)

**Pay Rate: **$20 - $32/hr. (depending on experience)

**Semi Skilled Position: **You will work as a trainee, learning the glass industry while working in 2-man teams with an experienced installer. The job involves 2/3 business shower door installation and 1/3 window repairs. This is a non-union opportunity.

Installer Responsibilities:

• Perform installations including shower doors, enclosures, glass guardrails, and mirrors.
• Install hardware and materials associated with glass installations.
• Measure and secure mirrors using mastic cement, putty, bolts, or screws.
• Cut and remove broken glass and install replacement glass.
• Score glass with cutters’ wheels and break off excess glass by hand or with tools.
• Abide by site safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work successfully both independently and in a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple work assignments.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (30-100 pounds team lift throughout shift).
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to travel based on project locations.
• Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
