Title: Facilities Manager
Location: East Alton, IL
Salary: $121,500 to $130,200 (depending on relevant experience)

Focus: This role is responsible for the management of road surfaces, construction, repair, and maintenance; building infrastructure; site clearing and drainage; building demolition, asbestos, and lead abatement; wastewater; water filtration; boiler/steam production; and plant electrical infrastructure.
Facilities Manager Essential Job Functions:
- Attend Strategic Planning and CAR (Capital Appropriation Request) meetings to provide status, closeouts, project timing, anticipated spending, resolution of accounting, and project spending forecasts.
- Act as liaison to local municipalities, City of Wood River, East Alton, Corps of Engineers, Levee Districts, and Farming Leased Land.
- Prepare cost estimates pertaining to facilities projects.
- Submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies as needed and confirm projects comply with regulations.
- Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, tests, and drawings).
- Manage forecasting and purchase equipment/materials.
- Conduct evaluations for site layout, grades, and elevations as needed.
- Design and maintain essential mechanical systems, including HVAC, compressed air, process piping, and industrial ventilation, to support ammunition production and facility needs.
- Support mechanical engineering projects such as equipment retrofits, utility expansions, and energy efficiency upgrades, assuring timelines, budgets, and safety protocols are met.
- Perform inspections and root cause analysis to proactively resolve facility system failures, reduce downtime, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Partner with safety, production, and environmental teams to ensure all systems meet compliance requirements, including OSHA, ATF, EPA, and DoD regulations specific to ammunition manufacturing.
- Oversee contractors, manage technical documentation, and maintain up-to-date system drawings, standard operating procedures, and maintenance records.
Facilities Manager Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree*; Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Minimum five years of progressive Facilities Management or Construction Management experience. Related experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Minimum two years of leadership experience overseeing staff, vendors, or contractors.
- Autodesk Inventor or 3D Modeling experience preferred.
- Superior analytical, communication (verbal and written), facilitation, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workload, multiple tasks, shift demands, and willingness to collaborate and support team efforts.
- Valid driver's license.
Location-Specific Requirements:
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
