Title: Customer Service Assistant
Location: East Alton, IL

Salary: $63,000 to $69,960 (depending on related experience)
Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday

Focus:  Establish and oversee customer order and account management activities to ensure excellent customer service for key Winchester customers and accounts.

Customer Service Assistant Essential Functions:

• Accept and process customer orders in alignment with department guidelines.
• Perform daily order management activities, including entry, editing, confirmation, credit approval coordination, and shipping requirements.
• Manage post‑invoice adjustments, the order follow‑up system, and assist with short‑pay resolution.
• Partner with Sales, Credit, Logistics, and other internal departments to obtain or provide order requirements, credit approvals, shipping information, and customer support.

Customer Service Assistant Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience in customer order management or fulfillment; manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; SAP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Winchester symbols, products, programs, pricing, and policies preferred.
• Knowledge of export regulations preferred.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work weekends as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high‑volume workloads, manage shifting demands, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Location-Specific Requirements: 

• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
