This position is responsible for all activities related to Welding activities in the weld lab for prototyping, welding R&D solutions for welding in manufacturing. Must have Cut & Etch experience documented on resume for interview.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- To perform destructive testing using the cut and etch process to validate production.
- Maintain inventory and welding lab supplies.
- Set up welding equipment in the lab for use.
- Troubleshooting problems in equipment and welding applications.
- Evaluate/ help developing new projects.
- Decide course of action to improve welding process.
- Test and validate welding process per defined specification.
- Validate weld profiles on finished goods assemblies using proper supplied gaging.
- Document and inspect weld assemblies to ensure the needs of the customer are met.
- Document welding process used in testing.
- Understand and be able to use saws, grinders, and other necessary equipment.
- Use of catalogs and related welding information needed to perform the duties.

Education/Experience/Certifications:
To effectively carry out duties and responsibilities in the job position the following education, experience, or certifications are preferred:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Welding background in Arc (SMAW) Mig (GMAW) Tig (GMAW) and other related welding process or General support with minimum of 2 years of related experience and or training.
Certifications:
- Must complete training related to weld defects and weld inspection by internal training.
