Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality MIG, TIG, and/or FCAW welding with a focus on clean, visually appealing welds.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to fabricate components accurately.
• Complete full-cycle fabrication including layout, cutting, grinding, fit‑up, and finishing.
• Build decorative and custom metal components with tight tolerances and clean aesthetics.
• Operate fabrication tools such as saws, grinders, drill presses, shears, and plasma cutters.
• Inspect workpieces for accuracy, alignment, and cosmetic quality.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specification.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in fabrication-focused welding (not just structural).
• Strong proficiency in MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless, and/or aluminum.
• Ability to produce clean, consistent, visually appealing welds.
• Experience with layout, fit‑up, and custom fabrication.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of shop safety and proper tool handling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in decorative metalwork, gates, railings, custom builds, or artistic fabrication.
• Ability to take a project from concept to completion.
• Familiarity with finishing processes such as grinding, polishing, and surface prep.
