Key Responsibilities
- Perform high‑quality MIG, TIG, and/or FCAW welding with a focus on clean, visually appealing welds.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to fabricate components accurately.
- Complete full-cycle fabrication including layout, cutting, grinding, fit‑up, and finishing.
- Build decorative and custom metal components with tight tolerances and clean aesthetics.
- Operate fabrication tools such as saws, grinders, drill presses, shears, and plasma cutters.
- Inspect workpieces for accuracy, alignment, and cosmetic quality.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in fabrication-focused welding (not just structural).
- Strong proficiency in MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless, and/or aluminum.
- Ability to produce clean, consistent, visually appealing welds.
- Experience with layout, fit‑up, and custom fabrication.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of shop safety and proper tool handling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in decorative metalwork, gates, railings, custom builds, or artistic fabrication.
- Ability to take a project from concept to completion.
- Familiarity with finishing processes such as grinding, polishing, and surface prep.
