Welding Engineer

Indianapolis, IN

On-site role that requires around 30% travel annually to customers and possibly trade shows.

We’re looking for a Welding Engineer to support customers using our collaborative robotic welding systems. You’ll work closely with customers, sales, R&D, and service to get welding applications running well, solve process issues, and bring what you learn back to our product teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide welding technical support remotely and at customer sites
• Run welding demos and develop robotic welding processes for real applications
• Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, and resolve support tickets
• Train users and create manuals, videos, and best-practice guides
• Work with sales to validate applications and support integration
• Share customer feedback with engineering and product development
• Represent the company at trade shows

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on welding experience
• Solid knowledge of manual and robotic welding
• Experience with cobots or industrial robots (Fronius experience a plus)
• Clear communicator and practical problem-solver
• Good documentation and ticket-tracking habits
• Ability to travel nationally and possibly Canada
• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred
