Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Provide technical support for all aspects of the welding process in a test lab environment
- Review of RFQ’s with Customer Success, Product Management and R&D to analyze for acceptance and provide guidance on requirements to meet specific requirements.
- Works closely with R-D and Product management and Quality to ensure process capability and support product changes
- Provide technical oversight for spec interpretation, test capability, and product certification across all tested orders, highway certs, and seismic certs.
- Coordinates cross-functional RCCM with R&D and provides support as a process SME to improve the testing process to drive improvement.
- Supports customer care as a process SME to improve communication and drive quick resolution to customer needs to maintain customer satisfaction
- Provide support and backup to Quality Specialist
- Assist/support test development when required for R&D and Applications
- Other projects as directed by the Tested Order Manager
- Adhere to all safe work practices and/or safety policies
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering or 5 years of applicable experience in weld testing.
- Thorough knowledge of welding products and requirements is desired.
- A minimum of five years of experience with Military/Nuclear specifications
- Practical knowledge of Mil specs, ASME Section III and NQA-1
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, SAP and LIMS.
