Job Description

Our client in Mentor is seeking an experienced Fabricator / TIG Welder to join their team on a direct hire basis. This role is ideal for a skilled metal fabricator with strong stainless steel TIG welding experience who can work from blueprints and produce high-quality finished products.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components to specification
• Perform stainless steel TIG welding on a variety of products and assemblies
• Cut, grind, shape, and finish materials using fabrication equipment
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure quality and accuracy
• Operate shop equipment including grinders, saws, shears, press brakes, and other fabrication tools
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow quality standards and production schedules

Requirements

• Previous fabrication and welding experience required
• Stainless steel TIG welding experience is required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift
• Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to safely operate fabrication and welding equipment
