Job Overview:

Welder / Fabricator

Pay: $20.00–$25.00/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Full-Time

Location: Pevely, MO

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join a growing manufacturing team in Pevely, MO. This is a hands-on fabrication position for someone who can take individual pieces of structural material, read a drawing, and build a completed assembly from the ground up.

This is not a repetitive production welding position where you're performing the same weld on the same part all day. You will be responsible for fitting, assembling, squaring, and welding structural components based on drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and measurements.
  • Fit and assemble structural tubing and fabricated components.
  • Build assemblies from individual cut pieces and materials.
  • Lay out components according to drawings and specifications.
  • Fit multiple fabricated sections together to create completed assemblies.
  • Measure, align, and square components prior to and during welding.
  • Perform welding required to complete fabricated assemblies.
  • Verify dimensions and overall fit throughout the fabrication process.
  • Make adjustments as necessary to ensure finished products meet specifications.
  • Work independently from drawings with limited supervision.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area.

Qualifications

  • Previous welding and/or metal fabrication experience.
  • Experience fitting and assembling fabricated or structural components strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, or fabrication prints.
  • Strong tape measure and basic shop math skills.
  • Ability to take individual pieces of material and understand how they come together into a finished assembly.
  • Understanding of fit-up, alignment, and keeping fabricated structures square.
  • Comfortable working with structural tubing and similar fabricated materials.
  • Able to produce quality work without relying on repetitive production processes.

Ideal Background

Candidates with experience as a Welder/Fabricator, Fitter/Welder, Structural Fabricator, Fabrication Welder, or Welding Assembler should be a strong fit.

We are especially interested in candidates coming from custom fabrication, structural fabrication, equipment manufacturing, or other environments where welders build complete assemblies from prints rather than performing a single repetitive weld on a production line.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

This position offers the opportunity to perform true fabrication work. You'll receive materials and drawings and be responsible for turning those individual components into completed welded assemblies. It's a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys using their fabrication skills, reading prints, and actually building something from start to finish.
