Job Overview:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Fabricate complex custom metal equipment using mild steel and stainless steel per prints, samples, and verbal instructions
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding; ability to pass weld tests for each process
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings
  • Create jigs and fixtures for weldments as required
  • Assemble new equipment and components to specification
  • Troubleshoot equipment and isolate root causes of mechanical issues
  • Work safely and efficiently while meeting production and quality standards

Job Duties

  • Operate metal fabrication equipment including welders, grinders, and hand tools
  • Utilize measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and levels
  • Perform basic mechanical work including use of pipe threaders and conduit benders
  • Participate in assigned projects and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow all safe work practices and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Comply with all NOV Company, HSE, and Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Support housekeeping and organization of the work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of related fabrication or welding experience
  • MIG and TIG welding experience required; certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience using metal lathe, mill, and band saw preferred
  • Forklift trainable
  • Must be able to use hand tools and common shop equipment
  • Welding knowledge and basic mechanical aptitude required
  • Ability to work day shift and overtime as required
