SHIFTS: 

  • 1st Shift 5:00am-1:30pm (Monday-Friday)
  • 2nd Shift 1:30pm-12:00am (Monday-Thursday)


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read blueprints and/or work orders to determine product or work instructions specifications.
  • MIG Weld miscellaneous parts per customer specification using weld fixtures
  • Complete proper job set-up, including changing a wire, gas, general maintenance, adjust wire feed speed, amperage, and Voltage.
  • Inspect and measure completed weldments to ensure conformance to specifications using measuring tools. 
  • Transfer components, products or assemblies to the proper storage type as called out in the Work Instructions or Job Traveler.
  • Prepare metal surfaces or workpieces, using hand-operated equipment such as grinders and drills.
  • Record operational information on specified Production Reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of school and/or experience welding 

Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other drawing aids
  • Ability to follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Efficiently manage time to meet production deadlines.
  • Maintain a level of accuracy and quality in all final products.
  • Ability to communicate with team members and leads to share updates on machine performance and production progress.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands and fingers, handle, touch objects, tools and controls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.  

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in an office and manufacturing plant environment.  Employee will be required to wear all required personal protective equipment when on the manufacturing floor. This is an onsite role, requiring consistent presence at the location.
