Job Overview:

Welder / Fabricator

Pay: $18.00–$25.00/hour DOE

Location: Bossier City or Shreveport, LA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday; Schedule may vary depending on location and job assignment

Position Overview:

We are seeking skilled and dependable** Welders / Fabrication Technicians** for full-time opportunities with our clients in the Shreveport/Bossier City area. These positions combine welding and metal fabrication responsibilities, including fabricating, assembling, fitting, and welding metal components according to blueprints and production specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to produce quality work while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, fit, assemble, and weld metal components according to blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
  • Perform welding using the appropriate welding process and techniques for each project.
  • Prepare materials and products for welding, including measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting, wire changes, and gas tank changes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications.
  • Accurately measure materials and finished products using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Operate welding and fabrication equipment, hand tools, power tools, and related shop equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect first-piece and completed work to verify dimensions, weld quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable quality standards.
  • Assist with material handling, loading, unloading, and staging of materials.
  • Monitor welding and fabrication equipment and report maintenance or repair needs.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure equipment is properly set up and all required safety devices and PPE are in use.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous welding and fabrication or manufacturing experience is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications is required.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and use precision measuring tools is required.
  • Experience operating welding and fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Forklift operating experience is preferred.
  • Ability to inspect work and identify quality or dimensional issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic are required.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or fabrication environment that may be hot, noisy, or dusty.
