We’re hiring 2nd shift
Welders
to join our fabrication team. This hands-on role involves interpreting blueprints and schematics to weld, join, and repair metal components. Candidates will lay out and align parts to build structural steel products used in transmission and distribution systems, with a strong focus on precision and quality.
Applicants should have at least 3-5 years of welding experience OR successful completion of welding education or training
to be considered for this position.
Schedule
- Monday-Thursday 2:45pm-12:45am
- O/T Fridays as needed
Pay
Responsibilities
- Perform basic equipment and material repairs
- Weld full penetration joints (e.g. slip joints) on poles or channels
- Operate grinding tools and equipment
- Lay out and mark weld points on components or subassemblies
- Position materials in jigs or fixtures using measuring tools based on schematics and blueprints
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and specification compliance
- Maintain and complete necessary production and inspection records
- Achieve qualification as a flat welder
- Maintain at least a 90% pass rate on ultrasonic (UT) inspections
- Follow all standard safety procedures and protocols
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of welding experience or successful completion of welding education/training
- Experience with Flux-Cored, Metal-Cored, and Shielded Metal Arc welding
strongly preferred
- Skilled in precision measurement within tight tolerances
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, layouts, and work orders
- Prior experience manufacturing transmission poles or similar structural products is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to maintain consistent, reliable attendance
