RESPONSIBILITIES:

Associates to perform all safety checks at the start of their shift on all cranes and tools and document this as necessary.  Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift. 

  • Ability to set up and operate machine and equipment in accordance with all SOP’S including any or all of:
    • Seam Welders (sub arc and K-Tig), hand welding both TIG and MIG, large and small plate rolls, beveling machine, shear, brake press and hand tools for cleaning and preparing material.
  • Inspect all raw materials for compliance with specifications and documentation. Inspect product during and after manufacturing process to ensure it meets all customer specifications and code requirements and document all critical measurements. 
  • Ability to acquire skill and perform MIG and TIG welding to company standards. 
  • Cross train in parts prep department to operate marvel saw and other metal forming equipment as needed.
  • Fills out proper documentation for all projects.
  • Operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed. Also successfully complete all training, safety program relating to the operation of the equipment. 
  • Performs housekeeping and other related duties that are assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to acquire skill and perform weld proficiently utilizing TIG and MIG welding techniques.
  • Above average mechanical aptitude and math skills, with emphasis on fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read and use tape measure, caliper, and other measurement equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions and direction.
  • Reading and writing literacy required. 
  • Ability to meet predefined deadlines while withstanding related pressure and stress. 

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:

  • Pneumatic tools, as provided by the company.
  • Hand tools required for completion of job tasks.

Work experience in related industry is an asset but even if you do not have this, we still want you to apply. On the job training will be provided.
