Department: Welding
Summary: Accurately welds quality products according to engineer’s print’s directions and shop order’s requests. Follows policies and procedures put in place as well as always being aware to preserving the product’s integrity and quality.
Primary Duties:
- Able to set a welder according to job requirements
- Able to read weld symbols
- To follow safety procedures
- To keep an accurate count on product
- Able to read prints and weld according to print directions
- Able to weld in multiple positions
- Able to read and use measuring tools accurately
- Able to use a hoist or crane and know the correct procedures to operate it
- To complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis

Requirements
Qualifications / Experience:
- Must have some experience in welding and be able to make a quality weld
- Must be safety minded
- Requires attention to detail and a high standard of quality
- Must comply to ISO 9000 required policies
- Must be a team player who can work effectively in a team environment
- Good interpersonal, verbal communication and active listening skills
- Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull 100 pounds occasionally
Physical Requirements:
- Standing on concrete – 100% of the time
- Lifting items less than 35lbs. from the ground – Highly repetitive
- Lifting items 35lbs – 50lbs. - Occasional
- Twisting or turning - Highly repetitive
- Bending or squatting - Highly repetitive
- Pinch grip- Highly repetitive
- Hands above shoulders - Rare
This is a table welding position. Areas can be exposed to high heat and ultra violet light. Wrist and hand usage is above normal. Overhead cranes are accessible for much of the area above 50lbs. There is heavy use of vibrating tools such as a grinder. Flying debris is also a greater risk in these areas.
