General Job Summary:

In addition to performing all phases of the MIG/TIG weld function, sets-up machinery, tools and parts for job completion.

• Understands and follows all applicable safety policies and procedures.

• Refers to production Manufacturing Process Control Document (MPCD) for job specifics.

• Sets up and runs jobs as required.

• Resolves problems with job as required.

• Assists in the resolution of production, quality, and engineering issues.

• Ensures machines are maintained per safety and quality standards.

• Assists with other duties as assigned by supervisor/ manager.

Education Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-3 years related experience or training.One year certificate from college or technical school

preferred or equivalent combination of education and

experience.

Computer Skills:

None

Other Requirements:

Understanding and ability to use quality inspection equipment (calipers, height stand, protractor). Strong

problem-solving skills. MIG/TIG Welding certification preferred. Ability to wear a respirator, as required.

Language Skills:

Intermediate Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance

instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak

effectively before groups of customers or Associates of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,

common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,

oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized

situations.

While performing the duties of this job the Associate is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; maneuver through the office and factory; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; grasping and twisting;

talk or hear; lift and/or move equipment/product weighing up to 50 pounds. Work with another associate to lift anything greater than 50lbs..

PPE Required:

Safety Glasses with Side shields, Steel/composite safety shoes, Welding Gloves, Welding helmet and flameresistant clothing. Protective gloves when handling metal parts.
