Certified Welder / Material Handler – Hiring ASAP

Location: Apache Junction, AZ (Industrial Manufacturing Facility)

Pay: $20/hr to start + overtime (10‑hour shifts and Saturdays)

Schedule: Full‑time with OT available

Overview

An established and growing industrial manufacturing and heavy equipment repair company is seeking a Certified Welder / Material Handler. This role supports both welding operations and general shop workflow in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment with consistent workload and long‑term opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repair welding on heavy equipment components, including Komatsu parts
• Weld lifting lugs on liners to structural/code standards
• Follow and maintain AWS D1.1 welding procedures and quality standards
• Operate forklifts for material handling and shop support
• Assist in beveling and prep stations as needed
• Support general shop operations when welding demand is lower
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

Required Qualifications

• Current AWS D1.1 (All Positions) Certification – REQUIRED (must provide certification for verification)
• Proven experience with structural or repair welding
• Comfortable working in a multi‑role environment (welding + material handling)
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in an industrial setting
• Reliable attendance and strong safety awareness

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience (certification a plus)
• Experience in heavy equipment, mining, or industrial repair environments
• Familiarity with beveling, grinding, and weld prep processes
