Job Overview:

Starting Pay: $27.01 per hour

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm with overtime when needed.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Successfully pass weld tests to demonstrate skill and accuracy.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and 3D models
  • Ensure proper alignment and fit-up of parts prior to welding, based on blueprint specifications.
  • Inspect materials and structures before welding to verify quality and readiness.
  • Weld components according to blueprint specifications and established procedures.
  • Monitor the welding process and make necessary adjustments to equipment for optimal results.
  • Maintain welding equipment and machinery to ensure proper operation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of parts and materials within the assigned work area.
  • Responsible for proper labeling of parts.
  • Monitor tooling for wear or damage and report repair needs promptly
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any tooling problems.
  • Maintain a clean work area according to 5S standards
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety by following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in M.I.G. welding techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions and quickly learn new skills and processes.
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
  • Strong interpersonal skills in working with a variety of cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards

Basic Mental Requirements: This job requires mental capabilities to efficiently prioritize tasks. Furthermore, the incumbent must have a high degree of attention to prevent injury to others.

Working Conditions and Exposures: Working conditions vary. Exposures include moving equipment/machinery, noise, vibration, heat, and some moderate climate variability.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): This position requires the use of PPE. Safety glasses, hearing protection, footwear with steel-toe and metatarsal guards. Other PPE may be task specific or required based on the job or department: gloves, face shield, high visibility vest, FR clothing, respirator, etc. Training on PPE standards, use, and hazard awareness will be provided.
