COMPANY SUMMARY
Flexible Metal Inc. (FMI), a subsidiary of Hyspan Precision Products, is a local Tier 1 & 2 part and component supplier located near Southeast Michigan. FMI specializes in product design, engineering, development and manufacturing of tubular fabrication, welded tubular assemblies and fabricated exhaust manifolds.
SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Welder is responsible for welding, inspection, and maintaining weld qualifications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ability and willingness to follow directions and ability to work independently.
- Must have the ability to learn welding skills and progress to different levels.
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot basic welding issues.
- Must have the ability to use basic measurement tools.
- Must have the ability to interpret welding process specifications.
- Must have the ability to communicate and work well with others.
- Must have the ability to maintain efficiency and quality requirements.
- Report all non-conforming material to team leader/supervisor immediately.
- Establish and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with corporate policy and OSHA standards.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere to all company policies
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Welding Certification
