GSM Industrial, a regional leader since 1983 in industrial fabrication, installation and mechanical contracting, is seeking Welders to support our Shop Operations for both 1st and 2nd shifts. Our typical Welders start earning above $20 per hour with some experience, and significantly higher pay rates for those with solid experience and skillsets.  Welders get 40 minutes of paid break per day which equates to approximately $2 per hour and typically have the opportunity for 5 to 10 hours per week of overtime.   Experienced welders can earn well upward of $65,000 per year depending on pay rate and overtime.  Off shift workers get an additional $2 per hour shift differential. 


Qualified applicants will have 3 years previous welding experience, and/or technical school training, and will perform welding in conformance to American Welding Society D1.1 Structural Steel code and to GSM Industrial, Inc. quality standards. Welders will fit-up of fabricated parts using blueprints.  These tasks and duties include, but are not limited to operating: material handling equipment, motorized vehicles, overhead crane, rigging equipment and forklift, welding equipment, fabrication machinery, power tools, working at height over four feet and working in confined spaces (or as prescribed by OSHA).  Our core competency is based on safely processing steel: structures, weldments, piping systems, pressure vessels and sheet metal components of varying shapes and sizes.
