Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for interpreting blueprints, cutting and fitting metal components, performing various welding processes, and inspecting finished products for quality and durability. This position requires both technical skill and physical ability, with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings to plan fabrication and welding projects

  • Lay out, cut, fit, and weld metal parts using MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or ARC welding techniques

  • Use hand tools, grinders, torches, and power equipment to fabricate steel and aluminum structures or components

  • Measure and inspect welds to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards

  • Set up and operate fabrication machinery, such as saws, presses, shears, and brakes

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on welding equipment and tools

  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or other heavy machinery safely as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety policies and procedures

  • Document work completed and communicate with supervisors or engineers about design or production concerns

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 1–3 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing or metalworking environment

  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and/or ARC welding processes

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills (fractions, measurements, angles)

  • Skilled in the use of fabrication tools, grinders, hand tools, and measuring devices

  • Knowledge of industry-standard safety practices and OSHA regulations

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting, etc.) for extended periods

  • Forklift and crane operation experience preferred (training available if needed)
