Job Overview:
- Operated CNC plasma cutting equipment to cut metal parts according to specifications and production drawings.
- Read and interpreted blueprints, work orders, and measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of cuts and assemblies.
- Performed MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding on steel components and fabricated products.
- Set up, adjusted, and operated band saws to cut raw materials to required dimensions.
- Inspected finished parts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Measured, marked, and verified material dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other precision tools.
- Maintained production equipment and performed routine preventive maintenance.
- Ground, cleaned, and prepared metal surfaces for welding and fabrication.
- Followed OSHA and company safety procedures while handling tools, equipment, and materials.
- Assisted with material handling, loading/unloading steel, and moving completed products throughout the shop.
- Worked collaboratively with fabricators, welders, and production staff to meet production deadlines.
