Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks on rail cars and related components.

• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the facility.
• Assist in training new team members on welding and mechanical procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in welding or mechanics is a plus.
• Proven experience as a welder or mechanic, preferably in the rail industry.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.
