Job Overview:

Description

  

You will be responsible for following several standards and must be willing and capable to weld, edit and perform all duties related to working in a metal fabrication environment to meet customer requirements. You will work with various materials and thickness while being flexible to move throughout the weld areas. 


Hours: 2:00pm-12:00am 

Wage: $20.00-$25.00 per Hour AND $2.00 Shift Premium


Responsibilities:

Teammate 

· Promote teamwork, communicate effectively, and provide feedback on progress to your Team Leader.

· Adhere to company policies and ensure procedures in place are being followed.

Technical

· Troubleshooting to resolve welding inconsistencies and problem solving any welder setup error.

· Adhere to technical and quality standards put in place by Team Leader.

Safety

· Ensure safe working conditions are being maintained in your area.

· Participate in implementation of safety projects when asked.

· Minimizes hazardous wastes from processes, continually seeking alternatives.

Quality

· Adhere to product verification systems in place throughout build process.

· Understands preventative and corrective actions and adheres to them. 


Working Environment:

· 100% manufacturing: low to moderate noise, safety glasses required and other personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable.

Requirements

  •  Education/Training:

· High School Diploma

· Technical Degree with 3 years of experience is preferred.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Moderate to advance skill set in welding.
  • Weld components in flat and vertical positions
  • Follow welding procedures and specifications.
  • Accurately operate and read measuring devices.
  • Adjust welding equipment to properly weld configurations.
  • Read blueprints.
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing basics 
  • Ability to follow direction.
  • Flexible and can quickly adjust to change.  

  Physical Requirements:

· Be able to lift at least 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. for short periods.

· Sit, stand, and bend throughout the workday.


Materials and Equipment Utilized:

· Hand and power tools (pliers, screwdrivers, drills, tape measures, etc.)

· Computers, printers, etc.

· Forklift

· PPE (safety glasses, gloves, welding helmet, and ear plugs as needed)
