Job Overview:
- Read and interpret work orders, manufacturing standards, and production requirements for awning fabrication.
- Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine required materials, production methods, and task sequencing; able to read and interpret welding symbols.
- Follow and execute Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) while safely operating torches, drills, die grinders, hammers, levels, plasma cutters, and overhead cranes.
- Perform welding operations along with related manufacturing, fabrication, and finishing processes.
- Conduct rigging, hoisting, and movement of materials throughout the production facility.
- Maintain understanding of all product quality requirements and ensure specifications are consistently met.
- Perform in-process inspections and testing to verify parts meet production standards and blueprint specifications.
- Inspect completed work prior to advancing to the next stage of production.
- Identify and report defective materials or production issues to supervisors; perform adjustments, repairs, and rework on rejected units as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
