Welder (Non-Structural Steel Materials/Ornamental)

• Preferred candidate has MIG, TIG, Flux Core and Stick Welding capabilities. Accepted candidates must have at least two of these welding techniques and in that case, MIG & TIG is preferred.- MIG welding: .035” to 1/16” electrodes, CO2 90/10 mix, spray transfer.

  • TIG welding: foot pedal and on/off switch machines, 3/32” to 18” with argon electrodes. High temperature alumina ceramic torch nozzle. Cup sizes range from 4- 10, with 7 being the primary choice.
  • Flux Core welding: self-shielding flux core, .045” diameter, 75/25 or 92/8 gas mixture. Spray transfer.
  • Stick welding: 7018 electrodes, 1/8”, 3/32”, and 5/32”.

• Must be highly skilled in layout, fit, and tack in addition to welding.

• Materials: most work is tube and pipe welding – both solid and hollow in form, square and round. These products go into ASF’s “Miscellaneous Metals” work, which is handrails/railings, brackets, ornamental items, etc.

FlexTrades offers travel contract assignments for 2-6 months:

$32 hr 3 months

Location: New Hampshire

Provides Hotel room

$45 Per diem

Overtime, Travel Pay.
