Job Overview:

Welder - Sterling Heights, Michigan
Contract position - Assignment is ongoing, no specific end date
Night Shift Position - Shift starts at 2:30PM or 3:00PM (up to the candidate) and ends at 2:00AM
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour


Summary of the Welder:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Description of the Welder:
To be able to weld weldment with various types of applications according to company and/or customers specifications.
  • Weld details according to company and/or customer specifications determined by supervisor
  • Service shop floor welding requests in a timely manner
  • Keep an updated materials and supply inventory
  • Perform maintenance on equipment or machinery as required. Inform supervisor if equipment or machinery fails or requires repairs beyond capabilities
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement

Required Education and Experience of the Welder:
  • Must be a High School Graduate or have a GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
