The ideal candidate will be able to perform various welding and fitting tasks with precision and attention to detail. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to operate machinery, and the knowledge to assemble beams and other structural components.

• Assembles and fits components according to assembly, blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, sketches, and knowledge.
• Lays out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly.
• Aligns components for assembly, manually or with a hoist.
• Removes high spots, and smooths surfaces, using chisels, scrapers, files, and a powered hand grinder
• Use clamps and other tools to align and hold materials during welding.
• Verifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts.
• Tests operation of assembly by hand.
• Lift, position, and maneuver materials weighing up to 75 lbs. as needed
• Reach above head to position, secure materials, and operate welder
• Operate overhead crane for moving and positioning heavy materials
• Stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 to 10 hours per day

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Inspect finished workpieces to ensure conformity with specifications.
• Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Ability to climb, twist, crawl, and reach above shoulders continuously
• Collaborate with team members to ensure job tasks are completed timely and correctly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• All other duties as assigned
