SUMMARY
Welds together metal components of products with electric arc-welding equipment by performing the following duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, work orders, and blueprints. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one situation.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to successfully pass a supervised welding test.
